Opencart modules and vqmod not working on custom templates -
I recently started a shop operated by opencart I bought a custom template for my store.
All have gone well for this - I thought I bought some modules and they are not working on a custom theme.
I've switched back to the default theme and everything works perfectly so I thought it was only due to the module. So I went ahead and bought another module and it was on my custom theme Does not even work. Also, vqmods do not work on my custom theme too.
Here's my site:
Scroll down to see the "Exploding past" module, they do not behave as they should be 3 of them: the list of side , Carousel and wall of images on the right.
I have also installed a vqmod for this page that displays all the images, it works for the default but not for my custom:
I would like to know Why is that so? Is it because custom templates have their own settings and need to configure modules to fit custom templates? If I was using these modules on a different subject, would they have to adapt to fit that specific topic too? I am trying to mislead this problem but there is no benefit. If you need any file to check the problem, please let me know Thank you.
Krotek correctly states why OpenCart does not always work with some files, that custom tuning Mentions which is never explained and it is important to know how to do it.
Custom Tuning: The VQmod which uses XML Parser Search through files on your server can then execute something at the specified location in the pre-existing code.
In your public_html folder you will find a vicomod and core files. Before uploading the code, make sure that this will work, you will find that you need to do with extensions that meet them together (which requires some knowledge of programming).
