elasticsearch - Kibana dashboard doesn't display logs -

I'm a total newbie for elastisearch who is trying to finish this tutorial:

I followed the steps but Kibana Dashbora remains empty, that is, no data is being sent to it. The only logs I want to send logs are the data of syslog. I tried to check what is wrong and found that when it is entered in the browser: 

  http: // localhost: 9200 / _aliases? Beautiful

Returns only: 

  {}

Next and I came to know that with index or index There is some (the cold can not understand the difference) and most likely I do not have a config file correctly.

My question is, should the file be rewritten? Am I missing something special? Any resource that will help me understand more?
